What is Segmented Woodturning?
A Segmented Bowl is composed of hundreds of individual pieces, first glued into rings. The rings are then stacked and glued together.
There is often a "Feature" ring which will display a complex design.
The glued-up piece is the mounted to the lathe
As the outside is turned, the design and shape starts to develop.
The inside is developed and finished.
The top is added and turned.
